This is a display of how blisteringly quick the FIT Calais is whilst still on street tyres. It's even quicker on slicks down the ¼ mile but as you can see it still is extremely impressive and tractable on the road if you feed the accelerator in slowly enough.

In this video the FIT Calais has 300kW of Intercooled Power and 520Nm of Abundant Torque with Bolt-Ons Only. This is a true 12sec street car with the opportunity for 11's with further tweaking and development.

Obviously we cannot unleash full throttle from standstill on street tyres otherwise it's wheel spin city so we have to ease on the throttle until we get the car moving. Watch as we apply 1/3 throttle taking of from standstill in and progress to 2/3rds by 30km/h then full throttle by 40km/h and you can see how savagely it spins through to 70km/h. Chirping into 2nd gear we manage to grab traction and from there keep it nailed to 120km/h.

It's hard to believe this is a Factory Stock L67 Supercharged V6 with just a host of Bolt-Ons yet versatile enough to drive everyday achieving fuel economy, sophistication and refinement identical to factory stock

This is a display of how much boost we are currently managing to squeeze out of the Air-to-Air Intercooled Ported M90. In this test we were running a 19psi Boost Pulley and seeing 15-16psi Boost Pressure in the manifold with stock cam, stock heads. We were easily turning out 300kW and over 500Nm or Torque with just Bolt-Ons only.

We have the scope to increase boost to 18psi in the Manifold with further development and still retain perfect engine reliability and street manners. It's hard to believe this much boost and this much power on a stock L67 Supercharged V6 engine, all whilst still retaining stock fuel economy and standard Delco Factory Engine Management Computer re-mapped with Kalmaker.

Considering Factory Stock Boost is set to 5-6psi and we are now seeing 15-16psi, that's almost triple the amount of Boost whilst still maintaining perfect engine reliability. Everyday we are even more astounded by the strength and reliability of the Factory L67 Supercharged V6

This is a display of how angry the FIT Calais can get on rolling starts if you stomp on the loud pedal and unleash the full 300 Kilowatts of Intercooled Power and 520Nm of Furious Torque to treads.

Remember this is "In the Dry at the end of summer" rolling start from 40km/h and the same happens at 50km/h. Listen to how aggressive and angry that induction sounds when you give it throttle. Have you ever heard or seen a Supercharged V6 with this much Aggressive and Instantaneous Power at the touch of the Accelerator Pedal.

Remember this is all achieved with stock auto transmission and stock stall converter. It's no wonder FIT intercooled Super6's can hold their own against contenders the likes of most Gen3's, WRX's and XR6 Turbo's quite easily !!

Truly remarkable improvements in power with this run pulling 271rwhp.

Further tweaking saw 276rwhp and there's still more to come with further development. Torque is absolutely incredible with it having the ability to fry the tyres on a rolling start at any speed through first and 2nd gears. Here is a video of one of customers, Chris racing a Ford 5.4litre V8 Twin Overhead Cam all Alloy BA Boss Falcon with Exhaust, Extractors, CAI and tuning, down the Quit Motorplex Kwinana WA.

Chris (Super82) has an immaculate Red VY 'S' Pack Commodore with Supercharged V6 with modifications including 10psi Boost, FIT 1.9 Rockers, Extractors, Exhaust and Type-S CAI.

Watch as Chris absolutely smokes the Boss Falcon from take-off till ½ track and maintains the advantage all the way till the finish line. He had almost 4-5 car lengths advantage by the 660'ft marker!!

Even though the Boss V8 Falcon has a bigger engine, it was not able to catch the Supercharged V6 due to the massive advantage obtained from the sprint away from the lights. Bet you the Boss Falcon owner would not have been impressed knowing his mighty Hi-Tech Alloy V8 machine had just been toasted by a mildly modded Supercharged V6 !!

This is most typical of a Super6 racing a V8 or WRX where it can gain bulk car lengths off the line making it very difficult for most cars to catch it !! This video is strong evidence of the Supercharged V6's abilities as a unsuspecting V8 annihilator!!

Our FIT Designed Mandrel Bent Single 3" Cat Back Exhaust System is fast becoming the popular choice for Super6 owners. In the past we used to recommend the Twin 2 ¼" or Twin 2 ½" and although we still do recommend them, they never really produced an exhaust note that was considered awesome, and typically they droned too much especially with no resonator. Through testing, trailing and development we have found a number of strategic benefits in the 3" Single System that had been previously overlooked. It has a beefier and tougher sounding note, substantially less drone, excellent ground clearance and it’s 7kg lighter than an equivalent twin system.

Just in case you were wondering what does the FIT Calais Sound like on the Dyno now that it's been Intercooled. We here's a quick video of a run in 2nd Gear whilst tuning and testing for ¼mile development calibrations.

Note how all is very still and quiet initially. Then the dyno tuner hits the gas and the FIT Calais lunges forward as it struggles to transfer the abundant low down Torque to the rollers.

With 19psi Boost and Design5 Ported M90 the Supercharger sounds very aggressive as it whines through the revs. This is one of the most sought after sounds for Intercooled Super6 owners, certainly lets any potential contenders know there's something serious lurking under the bonnet.

The result is a healthy 300rwhp of which is now Un-Opened Supr6 Record

The first thing we did was take the Calais as delivered with No Modifications to Daniel from Chipmaster to get a baseline on dyno performance. The video captures the pathetic 152rwhp (114rwkw) and boring sounding engine!! Oh the embarrassment, FIT's new performance development vehicle was a lemon!!

We took it down to the Motorplex ¼ Mile Testing Complex and gave it a series of passes to determine the baseline ¼ mile potential. How does a 16.1 sec @ 85mph sound!! Terrible we thought and was possibly the slowest time for a Super6 we had ever heard of. We weren't really off to that good a start!!

Check out this insane Toyota Hilux Ute with a Holden Factory Supercharged 3.8litre V6 replacing the original 2.4litre diesel. This combination has been substantially reworked by Nigel at Mandurah Automatic Transmissions, Tim from Sic 'Em Rex Racing, Daniel from Chipmaster and the team at FIT. This originally had 189rwhp with stock boost and 3" cat back exhaust. With 16 psi Boost, 1.9:1 High Ratio Rockers, FIT Air-to-Air Intercooler and tuning, this Ute pulled a stonking 263.4rwhp with stock factory exhaust headers. That's right fellas; the mule is now officially an "11sec Mule"!!

Our latest outing at the Kwinana Motorplex ¼ Mile proving ground has netted our first 11sec pass. The main contributor to achieving this status is the addition of racing slicks in place of the regular street tyres. We always knew the Mule was in desperate need of better traction and results would improve immensely from the upgrade to slicks.

Check out the absolute annihilation of the Nissan 200SX Turbo we were line up against. The 200SX was recording consistent 14.7 second passes, which was quite respectable, but it may as well have been a "parked ice-cream truck" as the Mule just obliterated it as soon as it pounced off the start line, and it didn't just end there. The Mule was a full 5 "car lengths" in front by the 330'ft marker, and then 8 car lengths in front by the 660'ft marker, and after that we had to start measuring "bus lengths".

The slicks have just made such a huge improvement (as we always knew they would) to the ¼ mile potential of the mule with traction being close to perfect we were able to stall it up on the start line and generate 5psi boost before leaving the start line. This resulted in the instant propulsion off the start line and ability to keep the throttle nailed through the gears and for the rest of the journey down the track.

The end result was an 11.688 @ 121.78MPH with a 1.942 60'ft time. We were only running 19psi (around 390rwhp) to ensure we wouldn't break anything from the extra loading forces of the increased traction. Whilst the 60'ft time was nothing impressive, it was a considerable improvement on the 2.233 60'ft times of our runs on street tyres. The improvement of 60'ft capability, matched with the ability to keep it pegged for the full sprint has allowed us to shave almost 0.5 sec off our previous best ET.

The MPH in this equation will give you an indication of how much stonk (aka power) the Mule is actually producing when you factor in the huge 4,000lb (1,740kg) race weight of the full bodied VT Chassis.

This is obviously our best time to date, but be rest assured there is still plenty more to come out of this package yet. We should be able to get the 60'ft times down to 1.6's, which will automatically take the ET time down to 11.3's and then we can squeeze the full 20psi boost into it, to achieve close to 11.2's guaranteed.

The Ford has the same slick tyres, and major engine and gearbox work, with high stall converter. You can't even hear the Turbo Mule over all the noise and agro the XD V8 is producing.

The XD V8 would be lucky to drive around the block without getting a "yellow sticker" hence why it had to be carried on a trailer to the ¼ mile track, whilst the Turbo Mule just cruised on down. We thought this video was interesting as it illustrates the contrasting difference between big heavily worked V8, and stock S/C V6 motor converted to turbo.

Just goes to show you don't need a lot of noise to go fast, and you certainly don't need a big V8 with 5.8 litres work of capacity either. Turbo V6's will do the same, quicker, quieter, more efficiently and have enough fuel to drive home, and still maintain day-to-day drive-ability. The XD V8 would be lucky to achieve 250km distance out of a tank of fuel where as the Turbo Mule car achieves consistent 450km out of a tank of fuel.
