The next time you get the chance to open your bonnet after a couple of hard runs or sitting in traffic carefully touch your hand on the underside of the Intake Ducting above the Passengers Side Extractors - Feel how hot it is ! The FIT Laser Cut Heat Shield is designed to stop the rising heat from the exhaust manifold into the Intake Ducting and thereby keeping the amount of Cold Air Inducted to the Engine at its best possible as well as keeping the engine bay cooler. So why is it beneficial to keep the engine bay cool ? As we all know, the Laws of Physics State Cool Air is Denser than Hot Air. With the majority of us V6 Enthusiasts thriving on performance we want to do something about minimising the effects of Heat Robbing our Performance. Whilst it is not immediately noticeable in the seats of your pants, it's the Consistency of Power that the Heat Shield helps to maintain. As Hot Air rises up from the Exhaust Manifold it Penetrates into the Intake Ducting Tube which is located directly above the Passenger Side Exhaust Manifold Extractor. This Heat Warms up the Intake Charge and thereby causing a Loss in Performance. Thankfully FIT's New Heat Sheild help combat this rising heat from deteriorating your Performance. Manufactured to the Highest Quality Level our Heat Shields are Top Grade. Utilising CAD designed software they are then Precision Laser cut for the most accurate finish possible. The heat shields are constructed from High Grade Mirror Polished Stainless Steel and endurance coated for long life. Fitment is very easy with only a 10mm socket and 5 mins work ! |
