This dyno graph shows the difference in the XU-6's power from standard boost of 6psi as delivered. The 188rwhp (188kW) result was actually quite surprising and above par. They normally produce closer to the stated factory 180rwhp (180kW) Using the FIT Boost Upgrade kit we increased Boost to 10psi and tried another dyno pass. The result was instantly better with 198rwhp (198kW) being recorded. That's an improvement of around 10kW. Normally Boost Upgrades produce 10 - 30kW increase, depending on the engine, but this one didn't respond all that well. Although we had hoped to see over 200rwhp from 10psi, it just didn't happen for this engine. This is kind of good because it highlights the fact that boost alone, sometimes doesn't add a whole heaps of power. The extra power comes about by compliments, such as FIT 1.9:1 High Ratio Roller Rockers and Tuning. We weren't overly concerned at this stage because we knew the power would improve substantially with further modifications. |
