This dyno graph shows the difference in the XU-6's power from standard boost of 6psi as delivered. The 188rwhp (188kW) result was actually quite surprising and above par. They normally produce closer to the stated factory 180rwhp (180kW) This section of our development was being used to ascertain the improvement from adding FIT 1.9:1 High Ratio Roller Rockers in Standard Boost (6psi) format, and Increased Boost (10psi) format. Installing the FIT 1.9:1 Rockers showed instant gains, the new power reading on Standard Boost (6psi) was 206rwhp!! That's an improvement of 18rwhp from the Rocker's alone!! We normally see around 13 - 16rwhp gain from the rockers, but this was an exceptional example of how close to 20rwhp can be added by a simple bolt-on product. We normally advertise between 10 - 20kW for this product, and this proves we are right on track with this specification. Using the FIT Boost Upgrade kit we increased Boost to 10psi and tried another dyno pass. The result was instantly better with 219rwhp (219kW) being recorded. Again we see an interesting development taking place where boost alone didn't add much to the power equation, but the rockers did quite well. Now notice the way in which the Rockers and Boost work hand-in-hand to produce a fortified and amplified result. The combination of FIT 1.9:1 Rockers and 10psi Boost Upgrade produce a whopping net power improvement of 31rwhp (31kW). What is even more notable is the improvement in the car's 'Power Band' and 'Torque Spread'. Look carefully at the power curve 'shapes'. You will notice the engine produces more power for longer with the addition of 1.9:1 Rocker and Boost. Note in the standard format the power gradually increases then sharply decrease after 100km/h (4,200rpm) road speed. With the addition of 'Rockers and Boost' the power production continues all the way to 120km/h (5,500rpm) road speed. This translates to a far happier engine, with more power and improved “rev”-ability. The ¼ mile improvements from this increased power would shave more than a second off the factory specifications. You will see from the next graph that we tried 11psi Boost and Octane Booster and stretched this power out even further to 225rwhp (225kW). That's a net power gain of 37rwhp (37kW). Close enough to 40kW increase with a few simple modifications!!
